How are picture frames measured?
For example, the actual size of a Econo picture frame For a 8" x 10 " frame is: Example: 8"X10" Econo Picture Frame
Frame Width: ; 8+(3" 1/2")+(1/2" liner size) = ;
Total width= 11"+ 1/2" Inches
Frame Height: ; 10 (3" 1/2")+(1/2" liner
size) = Total height= 13"+ ; 1/2 ; Inches
Rabbit Depth: ; 1/4"
Liner size: ;1/2"
Frames are always measured from the inside (rabbet) of the frame. In the example
above, the rabbet depth ( the frame's opening/inside) will be exactly 8x10" inches.
In other words, for a 8"x10"
photograph, painting or glass actual real size, you should order an 8"x10"
